I also picked up another bottle of cachaça. This time, it’s staying in my room, not in the fridge where sticky fingers can go a-snatching.

And to my reader-who-shall-remain-unnamed : yes, I am once again referencing booze in my blog post. Because I just finished an 11-day detox, in which I not only refrained from drinking any alcohol, but also caffeine, fat, carbs, and sugar. (And meat of course.) And because it is Friday, and I’ve been invited for drinks and hors d’oeuvres in a friend’s lovely courtyard. So tonight, we cheers to me and my most impressive display of self-restraint, and to all the nights to come.
